MISSOULA, Mont. — The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is pleased to announce key promotions and new staff positions as the hunter-based, conservation group continues to flourish.
Jennifer Doherty has been promoted to the role of managing director of mission operations while Riza Lesser has been promoted to the newly created position of managing director of brand & communications.
“Jenn and Riza bring experience and valued skillsets to the executive team that strengthen our organizational leadership,” says RMEF President and CEO Kyle Weaver. “These promotions, in conjunction with the new positions, apply leadership and greater staff resources in key areas to advance our mission of ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage.”
Doherty now serves as a member of the executive team and oversees RMEF’s mission operations including land conservation and access, habitat enhancement, wildlife management and hunting heritage. She joined RMEF in 2004 and most recently served as the director of lands.
In her new role, Lesser also serves as a member of the executive team and is responsible for leading RMEF brand and communications including digital media and content, brand creative, and communications. She joined the RMEF staff in 2021 as managing director of marketing.
Currently, RMEF is seeking qualified candidates for these key positions: managing director of marketing and partnerships, director of membership and regional development director – southwest.
