It seems more and more people are returning to America’s outdoor heritage, and those who live in Idaho are no different.
According to Boise State Public Radio, Idaho sold more than 640,000 licenses and tags for hunting and fishing from the end of October in 2019 through the end of October in 2020. That marks an increase of nearly 62,000.
COVID-19 is apparently a big part of that change.
“But I think you can kind of put two and two together when we’ve seen such a significant increase in all kinds of outdoor activities,” Roger Phillips, Idaho Department of Fish and Game spokesman, told Boise State Public Radio.
