Montana tribal groups and other organizations are calling for protections under the Endangered Species Act to be restored to Yellowstone-area grizzlies.
In July of last year, the DOI announced the recovery and delisting of the species in the Yellowstone-area citing grizzlies reached all delisting criteria in the area and declared the species as fully recovered.
Recently, federal officials announced they would review the decisions based on the recent denial of the Great Lakes Wolves delisting.
RMEF recognizes that predators have a proper place on the landscape but that they need to be managed just as elk, deer and other wildlife are managed in accordance with the North American Wildlife Conservation Model.
