Did you hear the one about the bobcat that got hit by a car, stuck in the grill of the Prius and survived after a 50-mile drive? It’s true. It happened in eastern Virginia.
Workers with Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) met up the driver and her car, sedated the bobcat and it was out in a matter of a few minutes.
“And as he started to go limp, he started to drop a little bit lower,” Christie Peters, RACC director told WTVR-TV. “And really in reality the only thing holding him up was a wire… to his underbelly and one plastic piece under his ribcage. And he was completely fine. It’s insane.”
The only injury was a minor cut on the bobcat’s back. RACC workers will eventually release it back into the wild.
“It’s perfect that it was Thanksgiving… because it was just a miracle and we’re so grateful that it ended the way that it did,” said Peters.
