Kevin Harvick Inc.’s No. 33 Nationwide Series Car to Support Elk Foundation
MISSOULA, Mont.—NASCAR star and Kevin Harvick Inc. co-owner Kevin Harvick is supporting the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation with a specially designed No. 33 Nationwide Series car to be raced Saturday, Oct. 25, at Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park in the Kroger 250.
The Chevrolet Monte Carlo will feature bumper-to-bumper Realtree camo design with the RMEF logo and web address (http://www.elkfoundation.org/) prominent on all sides, hood and decklid.
Inspired by his first two elk hunts in 2007 and 2008, Harvick is a new life member of the Elk Foundation and a supporter of RMEF work in habitat stewardship and protection.
“I took a nice bull this fall in New Mexico,” said Harvick. “That incredible hunt and experience helped me appreciate and admire the conservation work of RMEF. This is an organization that’s doing great things to conserve wildlife habitat. DeLana and I are proud to help the Elk Foundation continue its work for future generations.”
The car will be driven by Cale Gale, a rookie sensation with Kevin Harvick Inc. Gale has 12 Nationwide Series starts under his belt in 2008, with one pole, one top-five finish and three top-10 finishes. He has earned Raybestos Rookie of the Race honors six times this season.
“On behalf of the 155,000-plus members of RMEF, I can’t thank Kevin and DeLana Harvick enough for their generosity in exposing the Elk Foundation to NASCAR fans in this way,” said David Allen, president and CEO of the Elk Foundation. “NASCAR fans are some of the most loyal wildlife conservationists and we are proud to be a part of this racing opportunity to further our mission of protecting land for wildlife.”
Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday morning, Oct. 25, followed by the green-flag at 3:30 p.m., ET. Live race coverage can be seen on ESPN Classic and Speed Channel.
